ECO4 Grants - Reducing Energy Use

Insulation & Renewable Heating

The cost of energy has skyrocketed. Are you worried about affording your next bill?

You don't have to suffer in a cold, drafty home any longer. The government's ECO4 scheme provides grants for home upgrades to make your property warmer and slash your energy bills!

Housewrapped are able to obtain Free Government grants under the ECO4 scheme to enable you to make your home far more energy efficient and much less carbon heavy. We can deliver fully funded energy saving measures to your home ranging from insulation to renewable energy.
Sounds good right?
Through ECO4, your home could be fitted with insulation at no cost to you. Cavity wall, solid wall, loft, floor and room-in-roof insulation stops heat escaping. This keeps more warmth inside your home, so you use less energy to stay comfortable!

Insulation could save you up to £700 per year. However, if you also have an air source heat pump or solar panels installed then these savings could be considerably higher.
These state-of-the-art renewable heating systems replace outdated boilers that waste energy. A new air source heat pump can cut your energy bills by 25%. Solar PV systems with battery storage will also allow you to store energy and potentially sell power back to the National Grid.

ECO4 Grants

Eligibility

The ECO4 scheme aims to improve home energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions through free or discounted insulation, heating system upgrades, and boiler repairs for low-income households. It targets homes with EPC ratings of D or below.

Eligibility requires receiving one or more of the following benefits :
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)
  • Income Support
  • Pension Guarantee Credit
  • Tax Credits (Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits)
  • Universal Credit
  • Housing Benefit
  • Pension Credit Saving Credit (PCSC)
  • Child Benefit
Even if you don't receive any of the qualifying benefits, you may still get help through the Local Authority Flexibility scheme. This provides subsidies for homeowners struggling financially but not on benefits.

Under Local Authority HUG scheme, a property will not require any means tested criteria checks if the property is within specific IMD areas.

Compared to the previous ECO3 scheme, ECO4 has stricter eligibility requirements but aims to help more low-income homes. Fewer boilers will be fully replaced. The scheme prioritizes vulnerable households in fuel poverty.
